Nancy Boy Records is
a small DiY label based in Philly PA. Chances are you've never heard of us
or the bands we work with. This is because, although I strongly support
the DiY work ethic, a DiY production can only do so much by itself. That's
why I am trying to network with every DiY production I can find. I will
send my records to any distro, any zine for review, I will trade my
records for any band or record label's release I am interested in. I will
listen to any band's stuff if they want to work with my label. Seperate,
we as DiYers can accomplish great things, but united we could take huge
steps. So if you do a DiY production e-mail me, I'd love to find more out

sign up for my newsletter, it comes out about once a month and has news
about my label, as well as reviews of releases by bands and labels on my
mailing list. So if you're in a band or run a label, this is a good chance

Last Updated 10/10/01 I know it's been forever and a day since the page has been updated, but it's all for good reason, I swear. Nancy Boy Records has been busy improving our promotion, distribution, re-designing the web page, working out new releases, and most importantly, getting rid of the ridiculously big banner that used to be on the top of the page. As you can see, everything is different around here these days, but you'll get used to it quickly. |

But even more importantly than all that, we've been busy finishing off our latest release, NBR05, the Low Budgets 7"! That's right, "Go Bargain Hunting With the Low Budgets" is all ready to go. All of you in the Philly area can head on down to Rock N Roll Plus, Spaceboy Music, or the Wooden Shoe Bookstore to buy a copy. All the rest of you can mail order it... just head on over to the Releases section for all the details. Believe me, this record is a winner! Definitely my best 7" yet. Also, I'd like to have a moment of silence for Redheaded Stepchildren. This band was with NBR from the beginning, and they have recently broken up. They will be missed here at camp Nancy Boy, and I sincerely hope that ex-members will start a new band soon. Big announcement, the next NBR release has been set in stone. NBR06 will be a 7" with our friends from New Jersey (that's right... we're friends with them even though they're from New Jersey... so you know they're good) el Secondhand. The plans for this record all came together very quickly, and I'm very enthusiastic to be doing it. More details will be coming soon, but for now just be content knowing the record is on the way. Other new releases are in the works as well, but nothing else can be made official yet. NBR04, the Kids United/McCarthy Commission/Autotrophs split CD, is still available and has been doing very well so far. Not only is the CD selling well, but it's also critically acclaimed! Go over to the Releases section to check out some reviews I've gotten of it and NBR03 recently. There's a new section on the page now, an About NBR page where you can learn way more about this little record label than you ever wanted to know.
